Welded chains tend to be a lot stronger than weldless chains type and are commonly used for security, hoisting or lifting, and other heavy duty applications.

Armstrong Alar Chain Corporation supplies the widest selection of welded chains for construction, rigging, security, hoisting, towing, and more. We have a large variety of welded chain sizes to choose from as well as different styles and configurations.
All of our welded chains are tested and have Work Load Limits measured in pounds from approximately 75 lbs. to 9200 lbs. depending on the welded chains. The No.80 Welded Steel Chain is the lowest at 75 lbs. working load limit. The No. 80 welded steel chain is popular for supporting smaller objects, hanging plants, some shelves perhaps, etc. Whereas the ½ inch Hi-Test Steel Welded Chains have a working load limit of 9200 lbs., which is the equivalent of lifting two pick up trucks at once. Very heavy duty welded chains but when safety is concerned, you always want the welded chain for the job.
Most of our welded chains are available in boxes, in a carton, or on a reel depending on the length being purchased. We also offer our welded chains in bright or zinc finishes for preference.
Depending on the project, a different welded chain may be required. Whether it’s a higher weight being lifted or moving chains for hoisting and moving items there is always a specific welded chain for the job. For example, a passing link chain is specifically designed to limit kinks and tangles which is helpful for moving chains or pulley driven riggings.
Armstrong Alar Chain Corporation is happy to help find you the welded chains you need for any project, distribution, or supply.
