BEADED CHAINS SPECIFICATIONS

Beaded Chains are made with metals that are readily available and usually in stock including brass, Richlow brass, carbon steel and stainless steel. Other metals for beaded chains are available on special order.

Beaded Chains Finishes include cleaned, polished, passivated or plated with nickel or brass. Other types of finishes are available upon request.

All ARMSTRONG beaded chains meets the following specifications:

National Aerospace Standard NAS1201.

Ordinance Standard SDCX1, SDCX2, SDCX3.

Federal Specification RRC271A Type 2, Class 5.

Beaded Chains are available in bulk, on spools or in hanks, or assembled to the required end fittings.

ARMSTRONG can supply on special order any size or shape beaded chains adaptable to the beaded style if ordered in quantity.

BEADED CHAINS STANDARD KEY CHAINS

ARMSTRONG offers No. 3 and No. 6 beaded chains key chains from stock with round beads to meet your esthetic requirements. Material selection in ascending order of cost includes brass or nickel plated steel, dipped and polished yellow brass, dipped and polished Richlow brass, and nickel plated brass. Beaded chains key chains are avialabe in 4" or 4½" lengths and come complete with Type B splicing link in matching material and finish. Key chains can also be made to order in whatever lengths you desire.

BEADED CHAINS COUPLINGS

Type "A" Beaded Chains Couplings are second only to splicing links in their wide usage, especially on retainer beaded chains for caps, knobs, keys, and other objects where dropping or misplacement must be prevented. Available with and without eyelets, straight or offset, in standard metals and finishes.

Type "B" Beaded Chains Couplings and Splicing Links are used to make chain endless, to connect two pieces of chain for keychains and neckchains or to repair broken chain. In addition, the "B" Coupling has a hole in the back for looping chain or for assembly of rings on other attachments. Available in standard metals and finishes.

Type "D" Beaded Chains Couplings are Armstrong Alar's way of reducing the cost of retainer chain assemblies. The "D" Coupling performs all the functions of the "A" Coupling in addition to allowing the chain to be brought out in a 140° arc. Furnished only attached to chain.
